Help Make a Difference in Someone's Life

I have mentioned more than once that I know how lucky and blessed I am to have the family I have, from my extended family to my fantastic kids and my wonderful wife and her extended family. And, I have a growing business with THE BEST group of guys I could have ever asked for.

But, ten years ago, I would have NEVER dreamed I would be where I am now. Ten years ago, I was in prison because my heroin addiction and stupidity put me there. But with the support of my family and friends, I came out clean on the other side. I have strived every day since to better myself and those around me.

I have lost many friends to that awful addiction. But to lose one is one too many. We need to let people know that there are others out there who want to help them beat their addictions.

In 2018, we lost Jim Masterson to his addiction, but his spirit lives on through the annual Jimbogey Open. This year, the tournament will be at the Duck Creek golf course on Friday, August 27th, at 10:00 am. Proceeds will go to Top of the World Ranch Treatment Facility in Milan, IL., to help pay people's way through the treatment program, who otherwise wouldn't have the means to do so.

If you're a golfer and want to help people struggling to improve their lives, this is a great way to do it. And, if you're a duffer like me, and you only like to drive the golf cart, consider sponsoring a hole or tee. It's a great way to show your support.

To register, sponsor a hole, or if you have questions, you can reach out to:

Yesterday, August 2nd, I shared my story of addiction at the Salvation Army with their inpatient rehab program members. What a great feeling to tell my story and know that I might be able to change the trajectory of someone's life just by sharing my history.

If you're battling addiction, know that there are people ready to help you and that you are not alone.
